Safety

Every expedition is accompanied by experienced staff in canoes and a safety boat, with an emergency VHF radio. The kayak canoes we use are very stable, and do not sink. Buoyancy aids are provided and must be worn. You are very unlikely to capsize and there is no need to be able to swim. All children are welcome but under eighteens must be accompanied.
Clothing

Casual clothes are ideal. Shorts or a tracksuit would be very suitable. Canvas or deck shoes, are best, not Wellingtons. If the weather is showery then a waterproof top (which can serve as a windproof) is useful. A spare sweater in a plastic bag (to keep it dry) can be taken with you, as it can become cold on the river.
